Marine electronics installation FAQ

  • Almost all our marine work is on freshwater. We serve Lake Michigan marinas and inland lakes. We install to standards built for marine use either way, since corrosion and vibration affect boats in fresh water and salt water alike.

  • A single system install, such as just radar or just audio, usually takes one to two days. A full refit covering radar, GPS, sonar, and audio typically takes three to five days. The exact time depends on the size of the boat and how easy it is to access.

  • In most cases, yes. We check compatibility during the site visit. If your current unit cannot support the integration you want, we will tell you before any work begins.

  • Yes. We serve marinas throughout the greater Chicago area and along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Ask us about your specific marina when you request a consult.
